ipads used in the classroom for the VERY first time!
Words cannot describe how I felt- after showing the teacher quickly the basics he allowed a student to "have a go" and draw on the ipad. The boy chose to draw Jesus' cross! This classroom only had the student's desks and the teacher's blackboard.
The Indian teacher allowed her students to be seated on the floor to view a story. The students started reading along with the Australian teacher within seconds! You can see the delight on their faces (and our astonishment) :)

Age makes no difference!
Ted talk about a 13year old Kenyan boy, Richard Turere, who invented a light to scare lions and protect their animals made from a used car battery and old flashlights.

Making a difference in India!
Hubby and I had the opportunity to visit Rock High School in India an amazing school in Hyderabad India with 400 orphans. The usually structured class were captivated by the ipad and the technology that made learning so awesome. A truly unforgettable experience.
